Recently I've been going to the gym a lot. I found it very relieving and extremely satisfying. By working out hard and turns some frustration and stress into sweat, it's also satisfying that I have not lost a step I could still leap as high as I did before.
Now I know why my friend Warren, who is a gym rat in the 40s, even in his age he's still going on the treadmill almost every day. Buzz who is near 50, who has the amazing ability to lose weight while eating a lot of fatty food. These age defying people are really something else.
It's a shame that I could not say for sure that how many kids and young people today that could hardly finish running a mile without stopping to catch his breath. I was not too far removed from high school, I remembered that more than 70% of the kids in their teens can not complete a mile. With all the Internet and video games, you see a lot more chubby kids that can hardly move. Kids need to become kids again and run wild and have fun.
My routine consists of running suicide in quick bursts and running and jumping over obstacles. At the end of my workout, I like to relax all my muscles and just try to explode off my feet and reach as high as I could. I always tell myself to keep this up because these age defying guys all been telling me that you will no longer be able to do intense activities such as basketball when you're older, that is why they picked up golf. I love the driving range but running and leaping off the ground are a lot more satisfying. |
