** 2005 CUCSSA Immigration Seminar 04/16 **
***********************************************************************
The economy is promising and yet struggling, and jobs are hard to find
--are you worried about your immigration status? Just find a job or post-doc
position in another city--are you ready to change your visa status? Just
settled in the states--interested in knowing more about immigration
issues? Or for whatever other reasons, need more information about
immigration? CUCSSA will hold an immigration seminar on next Saturday
04/16/05 in Uris Hall 141.
The speaker, Attorney Rachael Yu is one of the best immigration lawyers
in the city. She will address many immigration issues of our concern. The topics
include:
* Recent changes in immigration policies
* Ways of applying for Permanent Residency ("Green Card") as a Ph.D. student,
Ph.D. or other Postdoctor degree holders
Also afterwards she will be happy to consult with you about your
personal immigration issues and answer questions which puzzle you.
All is free!
If you are going to graduate soon and need to change your visa
status, or you are just interested and want to work out things
several years before you confront this issue, the seminar will give you
answers to all your questions. Do not wait too late to plan!
